Exactly thirteen years ago on this day of 19 th February 1996 our most holy Mother Shri Mataji blessed the world by inaugurating the International Sahaja Yoga Research and Health Centre as a gift to humanity. Today, the popularity of this unique Health Centre has grown in such a multifold dimension by the blessings of Shri Mataji that the current infrastructure of the Centre has become insufficient to host the ever- increasing number of yogis from all over the world. Reminiscing the holy words of Shri Mataji, Dr. Sandeep Rai, Hon. Director of Research and Development of this Health Centre shared that once Shri Mataji in an informal communication commented that ‘this place will become the Kashi for the Yogis one day’ (speaking on the geographical location of ‘Vashi’ that resembles phonetically with ‘Kashi’- the most holy pilgrimage for Lord Shiva in India) .Since then the place is more popularly known as Vashi Hospital although geographically situated in CBD , Belapur, Navi Mumbai, India.

Keeping in view of accommodating more patients to this Health Centre, Dr. Rai shared that Shri Mataji in earlier years desired that the front lawn of this Health Centre could be used for extension when ever needed. It was indeed Her divine desire then and Her design that today the Centre has undertaken a plan for its extension. So after incorporating all the changes that Shri Mataji had suggested on seeing the plan, the finalization of the building plan was done and blessings of Shri Mataji for the extension project, of the Health Centre was sought. Shri Mataji gave Her permission and Her Divine blessings to commence with Bhoomi Pujan for this extension project on 19 th Feb 2009. Thus two auspicious occasions were proposed to be celebrated simultaneously on this day (thirteenth Foundation day).

On19 th Feb 2009, since morning the International Health Centre looked very bright and colourful with its vibrant decorations done up by the untiring and dedicated efforts of the Resident doctors, the staff of the Health Centre and the Yuva Shakti from Mumbai and near by areas. Beautiful Rangoli and flower decorations all over the place were a special treat to the eyes. The central lawn inside was covered with a beautiful Pandal and the Centre stage was beautifully decorated with a separate altar of Shri Mataji at the side of the stage, while the centre of the stage had the seat for Shri Mataji Herself (a big portrait of Protocol photograph (Abhay Mudra) occupied the chair). The programme was scheduled to take off at 10:30 in the morning itself. Sahaja Yogis welcomed Kalpana didi, the Chief Guest for the occasion at 12 noon who arrived directly from Pratisthan along with other Trustee Members of the Health Centre.

The event immediately took off with the welcome note by Dr. Sandeep Rai. He welcomed Kalpana Didi , Trustees and all Sahaja Yogis present at the occasion. On behalf of the entire Sahaja collective of Health Centre, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and the world, Dr. Rai expressed his profound gratitude to H. H. Shri Mataji for gifting this ‘Little Paradise’ to Sahaja Yogis. He said that we all the Sahaja Yogis, Her children are grateful to Her for Her Divine blessing on this joyous occasion to celebrate this auspicious day with Sahaja Yogi family members at this Health Centre.

In his welcome note Dr. Rai said the entire humanity is indebted to Shri Mataji for this unique gift to humanity. It is unique in the sense that this is only Centre across the globe, where all treatments and balancing is effected by Sahaja Yoga Meditation. The entire benefit for all ailments is effected by using vibratory awareness. Continuing in his note, Dr. Rai in brief shared a very interesting anecdote that was not only enlightening but very subtle too. He said during those years of conceiving the divine proposal of opening a Health Centre with limited resources seemed to be quite difficult. When Shri Mataji was apprised that without having adequate facilities of a modern hospital (like wards, and provision for attending to emergencies and laboratory facilities) it may not be feasible to run a Health Centre, in Her reply Shri Mataji affirmatively emphasized that she wanted to see whether Health benefits can be achieved only by correcting the imbalances by Sahaja Meditation. It was indeed a 'Divine experiment' Dr. Rai continued saying that 'Resurrection of Christ in His body' was one Divine experiment that was conceived in Heavens and later enacted on Earth which was very successful. Today, in this world for the first time ever en-masse Self Realization and consequent health benefits by only 'Vibrations' developed through Sahaja Yoga meditation is sort of a similar 'Divine experiment' on this Earth that has proved to be very successful. Since both were divine wishes, they had to be successful and both are bound to play a great role in salvation of the entire mankind. The reality is before us now, where hundreds and thousands have been benefited.

Subsequently, Dr. Rai addressing the Trustee members of the Health Centre (Kalpana didi, Sadhna Didi, Mr. RK Pugalia, Mr. Parag Raje, Mr. Rajesh Shah and Mr. VK Das) present on that day expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Kalpana didi. Dr. Rai said that Kalpana Didi always has been kind enough to look after all needs and also been deeply concerned towards the welfare of this Centre. She had been very kind enough come all the way from Dubai to attend this function. She had always been full of compassion and expressed her generosity while looking after all the needs of the working staff at the Hospital in spite of her all busy schedules. She is always there to help and advice at any time of day or night when ever needed.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalpana didi was so moved and overwhelmed at the outset that she hardly could utter a few sentences. Expressing her all gratitude to Shri Mataji, Didi mentioned that she is directly coming from Pratisthan and Shri Mataji and Sir C.P have given their blessings for this auspicious occasion. Didi also mentioned that it was only Shri Mataji's planning that she happened to be in India on this very day. Furthermore, she shared that she was in fact directly arriving via Pratishthan after receiving her parents' blessings on this auspicious occasion to be shared with rest of us. She also mentioned that because of Sahaja Yoga, she has so many Sahaja brothers and sisters in this world who are so very loving. She said it was only because of her Parents that she was standing here on this day. She also confided that this very moment gives her the greatest pleasure and tremendous joy in heart to celebrate this auspicious day along with all other members of Sahaja Yoga family. She expressed her desire that each one of us should try to imbibe Shri Mataji's qualities, so that any one who sees us, should see the reflection of Shri Mataji in us. Also, that this was indeed a unique Health Centre where innumerable people have been benefited.

Later, Kalpana didi along with Trustees, Mr Nalgirkar and a few other invitees joined to perform the Bhoomi Pujan ritual at the land where new construction has been proposed. The Bhoomi Pujan commenced with offering Kumkum (Sindur) , Huldi (Termeric), Akshat (Rice), Flowers, coconut and water (these were personally vibrated by Shri Mataji at Pratishthan) followed by covering them with earth in the already dug pit at the North Eastern corner of the plot along with three other pits dug around. The rituals were performed with recital of mantra for invocation of Shri Adi Bhhomi Devi and Shri Ganesha. Meanwhile the rest of the collective were absorbed in a number of bhajans in the praise of Shri Mataji. After the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony there was a small Puja offered at Her Holy feet of Shri Mataji as flowers and garlands were offered. Kalpana didi offered ‘Oti’ at Her Holy Feet while Ganesha Vandana was sung by the choir. Finally an arti was offered followed with ‘Bhog’ for the Mahaprasad.

There was a lunch break after a few bhajans and two beautiful dance presentations by the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai participants. Lata Nair performed an extraordinary performance with her Bharat Natyam while Geetika Tewary , Sheetal and Karande from Navi Mumbai also performed extraordinary dance presentations along with many other Yuva Shakti yoginis who joined the team performance to enact a dance drama. One theme was based on the integration of diverse Religion through Sahaja Yoga. It had tremendous vibrations.

The post lunch session had a very encouraging beginning as it started off with most popular quwaali group of Pune. It was Rajiv Bagadthey group who performed non stop with very popular numbers. Although they are popularly known as Pune group yet they team up from various geographical distant places. It was indeed ‘Mata ka Karam’ (Mother’s work) that all joined on this very day to render their best at Her Holy Feet. The two quwalis , ‘Mohe ek pal chayan Na Aaye’ and ‘Meri Mata ka Karam hain’ almost made a gusty cool breeze sweep across as a group of yuva could not stop dancing to the number. Later Pt. Subramanium scored very high with his wonderful melodious voice that seemed to have melted down the day’s heat by then. The wonderful bhajans were rhythmically accentuated in spirit by the beats of ‘tabla’ by the magical finger works by Khan saab. It was a perfect fusion. Later, the team from Vaitarna joined their singer guru in chorus to sing ‘Ma Nirmala Ma… Jai Jai Ma Nirmala Ma’. The vibrations were very profound.

However, the concluding day’s session was most exciting to see Dr. Pt. Arun Apte and Surekha Apte along with Khan saab on Tabla. It was like showering vibrations as the entire collectivity was taken into a very light yet joyful meditative state. The performance remained interesting like an artist performing but transformed into a class where the collective was learning, singing and enjoying and as if Mother Herself was guiding the rhythm to delve into the realm of classical ragas. It was a real meditation as the collective learnt to sing in rhythm, especially the difficult ragas based bhajans like Hasata Ali Nirmala Ayi… and Abir Gulalal …

The day’s event was concluded with felicitating the various workers and artist who contributed to transform this day to a very memorable and joyous. Bouquets and gifts were extended as token of love and presented to various artists and silent workers who dedicated their all ‘bhakti’ with all ‘Shraddha’ in heart at Her Holy Feet of Mother on this day.

Shri Mataji, on behalf of the world collective we bow at Your holy Lotus Feet and humbly submit our millions of collective Pranam and Surrender at Your Holy Feet. May the same be kindly accepted!

Jai Shri Mataji
