Nirmal Nagari: The Holy land for Sahaja Yogis

This part of the land was acquired by the Pune Sahaja collective in a phased manner a few years ago. It has a lush green backdrop with a rugged topography of hilly terrain. The area is spread over thirteen acres of greenery. The place has the blessings of witnessing 5 International Puja seminars besides hosting of a number of Nirakar Puja and also seminars and meetings.

Shri Mataji advises and approves the detail architectural design and plan to develop the Sahastrar Temple at Nirmal Nagari in 2007

Geographical address to Nirmal Nagari:

NIRMAL NAGARI at Bhugaon, Pune
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Marg
Bhukum-Khatpewadi
Taluka: Mulshi
District: Pune

Weather:

There is a substantial drop of temperature at Nirmal Nagari whenever winds blow, especially in the evenings. During the winter days one can catch the sunrise at around 6.30 am and sunsets around 6.15 pm. Nirmal Nagari is situated amidst hills and therefore warm clothing and covers to combat the chillness of the climate is advisable . While mosquito repellant and torches may prove to be useful in addition to other individual special requirements like cosmetics since there are scanty habitation/shops in the vicinity of this campus.

Tracing the Route Map to Nirmal Nagari

The venue is just short of twelve kilometers (12 km/approx.9 miles) from the well known 'Chandni Chowk' square in the Kothrud locality of Pune (where Pune's main collectivity meditation Centre is located). 'Chandni Chowk' is also right on the Mumbai-Pune Express Highway and can be accessed by taking an exit from the highway at Kothrud. Besides, prominent deep green signboards by the side of the road navigate one from 'Chandni Chowk' to reach the final destination- Nirmal Nagari.

How to arrive at the 'Chandni Chowk' area:

From Pune Railway Station, one can drive down to Pune Municipal Corporation, then via Jangli Maharaj Road in Shivajinagar locality follow the Karve road and then the turn to Paud Road at S.N.D.T College flyover would lead to 'Chandni Chowk'.
From Pune Airport one needs to take the Airport road to Yerwada bridge (also known as Bund Garden bridge), then follow the Bund Garden road that leads to the Pune railway station from where one can follow the directions to reach 'Chandni Chowk' as mentioned above.

From Chandni Chowk to Nirmal Nagari

There is a beautiful lake in between 'Bhugaon' and 'Bhukum' and at intervals small beautiful fragrant yellow flowers can be found on both sides of the road.

Trailing a stretch of five miles drive on the main road, one arrives at the crossing of 'Bhugaon' village on the way. Subsequently, a left turn road by the side of a Petrol Pump (as a land mark) at 'Bhukum' village should not be missed out. Here you start entering the jurisdictions of the Nirmal Nagari. It is a sinuous stretch of drive of about two miles to arrive at the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari through the beautiful green 'Khatpewadi' village on the way.

Myth and Historical importance behind Nirmal Nagari :

The land is blessed as the myth goes and more importantly this site of Nirmal Nagari had been advised by Shri Mataji Herself especially envisioning the scope for hosting the international pujas.

It is said that thousands of years ago in the Treta Yuga (an era as per Indian calendar) that Shri Vishnu in His Shri Rama incarnation incarnated along with Shri Sita as Shri Adi Shakti incarnate.. The imprints of the myth speak of those events in this part of the land. As per the records of evidences and belief of the land dwellers in this part of the area, they claims that -Shri Sita and Shri Rama had come and spent a few important days on top of one of the hillocks immediately behind Nirmal Nagari, during their fourteen years of exile. It is also believed that it was in this part of India - Maharashtra only, that Shri Ram and Shri Sita walked bare foot. Villagers in this part of the area in Khatpewadi claims, the remnant or fossilized remains of the utensils used by Shri Rama and Shri Sita can still be traced in the neighboring hillocks that still bear the imprint as a proof of their holy visit. For the realized souls the vibrations on this land speak for its own importance. The Nirmal Nagri covers about thirteen acres of this holy land.

Shri Mataji once enlightened Her children narrating the story of Sri Rama's advent and His Maharastra tour bare foot. In Her teachings She reveals that as this part of land had to be vibrated since Shri Ganesha Himself expresses on this land as the Earth element. So, He had to walk without His sandals that were carried back home by Shri Bharata His brother.

"Because first of all when human beings came on this earth they were frightened of all the animals who would invade them and all kinds of horrible Rakshasas and all those people, and negative forces would trouble them. In that state they needed to create a king, a ruler, who was an ideal king and who would rule according to the laws of dharma. So he was the one in charge of that. He was here in Treta Yuga and Krishna came at the time of Dwapar Yuga.

When I came it was Kali Yuga but now today the time is of Krita Yuga. The Yuga where work will be done - Krita Yuga. This is the time where work will be done"-H.H.Shri Mataji, Chelsham Road, London, 2nd April 1982

Construction/ Facilities and development works at Nirmal Nagari:

Since the land acquisition of this Holy Land of Nirmal Nagari in 2005 a lot of constructional works and development works have been carried out round the clock. By the holy grace of Shri Mataji, a lot of works have already been accomplished as permanent structure. It is a marvel to see how things have come up for Sahaja Yogis to transform this lush green hillocky land into a beautiful International pilgrimage for the Sahaja Yogis.

The recent past has witnessed almost five International Pujas seminars since 2006. The land was blessed by Shri Mataji and received periodical vibrations with the collective Nirakar(In Her holy Formless) pujas from time to time. By Her holy blessings of Shri Mataji the architectural plans and designs are now gradually transforming into reality. In 2007 the International Sahaja Museum was inaugurated, while a lot of development works have seen the day of reality. The dreams are transforming into reality. It is envisioned that someday in near future we will have this International Holy shrine another place of pilgrimage in line with Chhindwara,- the Holy birthplace of Shri Mataji-, the International Health Centres at Navi Mumbai and Greater Noida, NGO for the destitute Women and girl orphans at Greater Noida, ISPS at Dharamshala, Nargol in Gujarat, Cabella in Italy , Canajoharie in USA , Health Center in Russia and many others in line.

Just at the entry point of Nirmal Nagari, the road suddenly spreads its wings to be separated by road dividers. One is welcomed by the grand wall lined on one side of the road leading up to the beautiful fountain at the centre of the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari that goes live during the occasion with fountain of serenity.

The Stage and the Altar of our Most Holy Mother

A majestic and magnificent stage can be visible that is still under development with decorative furnishings, although structures are well constructed. Under a very well planned architecture and design a majestic temple is developed that is connected to the main stage. It is the divine abode of our most beloved Mother; Shri Mataji during Her presence in the Holy land of Nirmal Nagari. This is the sahastrar Temple.

Accommodations and permanent Facilities developed at the site

A huge covered space of approximately 10-12 thousand square Feet are has been constructed to accommodate especially the overseas Yoginis during the International Puja seminars with an accommodating capacity of hundreds. This hall at other times is utilized to host the Nirakar pujas (in Her holy Formless presence) in Pune. However, additional accommodation facilities for Yoginis are temporarily covered in tents during the Puja days

International Sahaja Museum and Cafeteria

Recently in 2007 a majestic museum 'Sahaja Sangrahalaya' with state of the art technology had been inaugurated by Sir CP that houses archived memories of our most holy Mother Shri Mataji in form of thousands of photo, Videos and audio faculties ranging from Her childhood activities to the recent days. This has been designed in such a fashion that it has a capacity to accommodate around 20-30 persons at a time by viewing and enjoying various modes of archival at the same time.

Nirmala Nagari during these events of International seminars hosts the facility of serving the visiting yogis with refreshing snacks and tea/coffee/cold drinks via a small cafeteria outlet adjoining the Museum.

Store Room / Water Storage tanks and Toilets

Permanent Toilet blocks have been developed to serve the visiting yogis. Approximately 50-60 Units (toilet and Bathing facilities separately) have been erected so far.

The floor above has been designed for accommodating the various store items and necessary requirements towards providing additional facilities to the visiting yogis during any international event like Puja seminars at the site.

The top floor or the roof has huge storage tank to cater to the needs of thousands of yogis at a time at the site.

Communication and connectivity

As far as the telecommunication facility at this site is concerned, currently there is only one Telephone booth at 'Khatpewadi' village, which is approximately a kilometer away from Nirmal Nagari. National and International calls can also be made from the booth. Cell phone connections and network connectivity is however not yet very well established. Although it is expected soon the private vendors shall host their towers for providing uninterrupted cell/internet connectivity in near future. Currently the cells does work but with intermittent drop in signal strength in this area of Nirmal Nagari

The collective Prayer and surrender

Indeed the expectations are great but we need to be greater in our desire to offer our creativity at Her Holy Feet of Shri Mataji in collective approach. The collective attention of the world Sahaja collective is required to receive Her blessings of Shri Mataji, that can only be possible with all possible contribution towards making this dream come true. Although we know 'She is the Doer ' yet we humbly surrender at Her Holy Feet of Shri Mataji with a prayer in heart that 'O, Our most Holy Mother, Shri Mataji, may Thy be done on earth as it is in Heaven', Amen!

Jai Shri Mataji
