Morning Session:

Following meditation, the morning session began with Yuva Shakti seminar. Various roles and responsibilities of yuvas were outlined as per Shri Mataji’s guidance in 1987. The role model of an ideal yuva was deliberated. Later, importance of Yuva in Sahaja Yoga was appraised. The current roles and importance of “Sahaj Internet Team Administration” (SITA) was touched in brief. Various projects and technology adopted in SITA, for instance, the various internet related projects undertaken, were appraised.

 

Later a full session on subtle Sahaja subjects were taken up with another session on questions and answers.

 

Evening Session, Birthday Puja:

In the evening, the main pandal was beautifully decorated with fragrant flowers all around. The Pandal could be seen packed with yogis. The number of yogis could be anything around twenty thousands.

 

The evening meditation started with screening of a film by Sanjiv Meshram of Chindwara followed by video screening of bhajans from Shri Laxmi Puja, 1986.

 

At around half past seven, fireworks in sky announced the holy arrival of Shri Mataji in campus. Swagat bhajan was followed by “Subhamangal Divas” and later with the bhajan “Shri Jagadambe Ayi Re Meri Nirmal Ma”. The Ganesha puja was performed as the children offered flowers at Her holy Feet.

 

This was followed by Shri Ganesha Atharva Shirsham. The Devi Puja was offered at Her holy feet with few more bhajans like “Jago Savera Aya Hai”, “Hasat Ali Nirmal Ayi” and “Nirmala Itivarna”. Aarti was offered at half past eight by all country leaders and trustees at Her holy Feet, as the puja was concluded.

 

At 9’o clock a beautiful cake was placed for Shri Mataji to celebrate Her Holy Birthday. Shri Mataji cut the cake and blessed Her children as the birthday song was sung – “Janom Din Aayo, Adi Shakti Ka”. Felicitation messages were later read out as received:

1. From Smt. Pratibha Singh Patil (President of India)
2. From Mr. Sushil Kr. Shinde (Minister for Power)
3. From Smt. Sheila Dixit (Chief Minister of Delhi)
4. From governors of five US states (including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida) and from a dozen of US cities.
5. From Italy, government of Italy honored Shri Mataji by offering ‘Permanent Residency’ of that country.
6. From Sydney.

Then the foundation stone for Safdarjung Ashram was blessed by Shri Mataji. Later the proposed model for the new upcoming Ashram of Chindwara was also blessed by Her.

 

At the end, at around half past nine, the announcement for marriage of Shri Mataji’s grandson Anand with Priya was made and that was solemnized in the holy presence of Shri Mataji. The beautiful Sehnai play at the background created a wonderful atmosphere.

 

Following that there were very strong and powerful sufi songs presented by world famous, Padmashri, Wadali brothers – who made everyone to dance in their tune. The evening seemed to get younger with their beautiful Sufi Qawwalis and by the holy and blissful presence of Shri Mataji. After staying five joyful hours with all sahaja yogis present, at around 12:30 PM Shri Mataji decided for the holy departure.

 

Our most holy Mother Shri Mataji, we the sahaja yogis of the world collective thank you again and again for allowing us to enjoy Your holy presence for five long hours and offer our millions of pranams surrendered at Your Holy Feet. O! Divine Mother, You kindly accept the same.
